Short Music Bio
Just me and my musical toys ... been playing piano since around 1964ish ... started on trumpet a few years later, then onto guitar , bass , and electronic keyboards . Getting various awards and invites to multi-state musical events. Received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award in 1976. Studied classical piano into college , with a few years of jazz study , all the while singing and playing in a wide variety of bands & choirs . As a freshman , I was in the Kent State Chorale. A vocal group/chamber orchestra comprised of mostly grad students and seniors , under the direction of Grammy Winner Vance George. We toured/performed along the east coast, ending at the Columbia Artist Recital Hall in NYC. I played music professionally as a full time job for a few decades . In a wide variety of bands from top 40 dance and rock,... to weddings and polkas ! ... ranging in size from 2 - 12 members . Now I finally have the time and the equipment to do some writing & recording .
